Awakening Fires & Reforming Glory
By

Numerous times throughout Scripture we see the release of fire that awakened a people to the Lord and His Kingdom in new or renewed ways. Almost immediately, many of us would think of Elijah at Mount Carmel, "The God who answers by fire, He is God" (I Kings 18:24), or the tongues of fire that descended upon those gathered in the Upper Room at Pentecost (Acts 2:1-4).  Or perhaps, you thought of Sodom and Gomorrah when God rained down "fire and brimstone" (Genesis 18:23-25), Moses at the burning bush (Exodus 3:1-3), the children of Israel being led by a cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night (Exodus 13:21), or Shadrach, Mischach and Abednigo in the "fiery furnace" (Daniel 3:15). Other times fire is referenced as God being a "consuming fire" (Hebrews 12:29), or the "fire that came out from the presence of the Lord and consumed" Nadab and Abihu for offering "strange fire before the Lord." (Leviticus 10:1-3)

Regardless of what imagery comes to mind, each time served as a point of awakening to the Lord in a new way.  Naturally speaking, fire purifies.  Fire releases energy  or power.  Fire produces heat to warm what is has cooled or to heat up passion where love has grown cold. Fire can protect or it can destroy.

We desperately need to Fires of Awakening to burn bright and white hot in our day.  Purging, purifying, empowering, impassioning, igniting, releasing revelation, and ushering us into greater encounters with the "God who answers by fire."

Awakening Fires are beginning to burn all acros the land, and as the winds of the Spirit of God continue to blow across the glowing embers and flickering flames, the fires will grow and spread with greater and greater velocity to impact all that is in the path of the fires of His presence.  Out of these "awakening fires" lives transformed by the glory of the Lord will rise releasing "Reforming Glory" into every area of society. As God's people are awakened to live in fiery passion as disciples, and as those who do not yet know Christ are ushered into discipleship and Kingdom living, as was true in the early days of the Church, the reality of "Christ in you the Hope of Glory" will become increasingly evident. Followers of Christ will rise to demonstrate the grace of the Lord in power that will cover the whole earth with the "knowledge of the glory of the Lord." (Habakkuk 2:14)

The FlashPoint for Awakening Fires to blaze brightly and give way for Reforming Glory to sweep across the land is upon us -- can you sense it?  Join in the swell of worship, intercession and declarations of God's purposes for this hour, raising the spiritual temperature to the "flashpoint" where the igniting flames of awakening erupt into explosions of reformation glory where you live!
