Peace & Justice Sculptures:
A Monumental Journey through Georgia

On Thursday, October 6, 2005, two 8-½ feet tall, 1-½ ton sculptures will arrive in Savannah and begin a journey across our state that will culminate in their final destination of the Millennium Gate in the new Atlantic Station development – a city within a city in Midtown Atlanta.  Internationally renowned sculptor Alexander Stoddart of Edinburgh, Scotland created these works of art under the sponsorship of the National Monuments Foundation and the Coca-Cola Company.  These statues, one representing Peace and the other Justice, are two of six bronze sculptural works that will comprise the Millennium Gate, the largest national monument of its kind to be constructed since the Jefferson Memorial. 

These sculptures will be welcomed to Georgia in cities and communities all across the state by partnerships between the National Monuments Foundation and local arts and civic organizations.  (See schedule below.) As these sculptures enter each participating community, local dignitaries and celebrities will drive the team of horses pulling the caisson for short legs of the cross-state journey. Local bands, school groups, and civic organizations will host a display for the works of art. 

These works of art have been commissioned as a project designed to celebrate the millennium and the 2000 years of history since the birth of Christ.  These two particular sculptures will flank the Gate and were designed as an emblematic representation of the pre-Christian era.  The Peace figures signify the Greece in its high classical period, and the Justice figures reference ancient Egypt and their assertion of the idea of justice and its relevance to all peoples.  The other four bronze statues will represent the four 500-year epochs that establish the time period to 2000 A.D. concentrating on the pursuit of peace.  These represent the Hellenistic Age, the Middle Ages, the Renaissance Age, and the Modern Age. 

Obviously, this all carries significant spiritual implications that we, as watchmen on the wall, need to approach with wisdom, understanding, and grace to see God’s purposes secured and the purposes of the enemy stopped in the name of Jesus.   It is totally God’s grace that we were even made aware of these statues coming into the state, and His favor that we have been granted connection with those in leadership over the Millennium Gate project to share and to make plans to engage in the process for God’s purposes to be established. 

Conversations to speak candidly with the Gate project leaders about the spiritual implications have begun.   We have shared insights into schemes of the enemy in utilizing structures, such as these works of art, to establish footholds of legal access into the territory for the kingdom of darkness.   Discussions and plans on  how to best mobilize and implement prayer coverage over the “monumental journey” across the state for God’s purposes to being established.

What the enemy intended for evil, we have the opportunity to reverse for the good of Christ’s Kingdom.  Through the power of intercession, declarations, and decrees made in the name of Jesus Christ we can forbid the enemy’s plans and rightly establish God’s rule and reign in the area. 

Prophetically, Georgia has been declared to be a “Governmental Gate” and that we are to be a voice in establishing justice, righteousness, and peace within the boundaries of our state and beyond.  This involves both the shutting of gates to works of darkness, and opening the gates to the King of Glory and to the ways of His kingdom.  The arrival of these statues presents a strategically important opportunity for the Church in Georgia to arise and take her rightful place as Watchmen and Gatekeepers in the Kingdom. 

The following prayer points provide instructions for intercession and declarations to be made in agreement for state from border to border, region to region, county to county and city to city. 

REPENTANCE:  Stand in the gap and repent for all bloodshed across this state, particularly for the sins of injustice, violence, prejudice, hatred, and oppression, which are all enemies of peace & justice.

INTERCESSION:  Stand in the gap and ask God to intervene on behalf of our state

>> Forbid the entrance of all expressions of false peace and false justice, particularly through the entrance and journey across the state, and the final placement of these statues of Peace and Justice.

>> Uproot through prayers of faith and declaration the uprooting, pulling down, destroying, and throwing down of the foundations and structures of injustice, iniquity, and inequity across our state.

>> Pray for the establishment of the rule of the Kingdom of God throughout our state – Kingdom rule and authority in righteousness, justice, wisdom, peace, and goodness for all mankind according to the Word of God.

>> Pray for the next generation to be educated according to the principles of Scripture and the Judeo-Christian heritage of our nation in truth without distortion or perversion. 

DECLARATIONS:  Declare the following statements over our state, and for those of you who are in the cities where the caisson carrying the statues will travel, declare these over your city and the statues as they are on display:

MILLENNIUM GATE:
Jesus Christ is The Prince of Peace and justice and righteousness establish His Kingdom forever across the state of Georgia.

For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder, and His name will be called wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace, of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward, even forever.  The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.    - Isaiah 9:6-7

JUSTICE STATUE:
The Lord Jesus Christ alone is the God of Justice over Georgia.

Therefore the Lord will wait, that He may be gracious to you; and therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you.  For the Lord is a God of justice; Blessed are all those who wait for Him.      - Isaiah 30:18

PEACE STATUE:
The God of Peace is the victorious One and He leads us in triumphal victory in Atlanta and across Georgia.                                      

And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.  Amen.         - Romans 16:20

THANKSGIVING:  Offer prayers of thanksgiving for the favor of the Lord that brought

>> Revelation of the coming entrance of these statues through a wise watchman in our state

>> Favor with those in authority regarding this project, for their faith in the Lord, and their desire to see Judeo-Christian principles taught to the next generation

>> Opportunity for us to intervene as Gatekeepers to forbid the entrance and establishment of Satan’s schemes for our state and to declare and decree the Gates of our State open to the King of Glory to rule and reign establishing His justice and peace from border to border and in every community, town, and city.

In closing, the schedule of the “Monumental Journey” is included below and provides information regarding what is known about the various stops across Georgia during the month of October.  Please follow the guidelines provided and keep this journey covered every step of the way.  Remember, our intent and purpose is to release the blessing of the Lord over the land and to serve as a blessing to all who are involved in this effort across the state, including all arts, civic, and community organizations that are sponsoring or hosting this journey.
